Question: What is MyReceipts.com?
Answer:
MyReceipts.com is a free service that allows you to receive and track your retail receipts online and access information about the products you purchased as well as enjoy special savings and offers instantly. The service is secure and free to use.
Question: How does the service work?
Answer:
When shopping at a store that is participating in our Digital Receipts program, you will be offered a Digital Receipt by the clerk. If you agree to receive a Digital Receipt, you will then either receive a MyReceipts.com card which you can use at any participating store or will be asked to provide your phone number or email address depending on the store. Your Member ID will be printed on the MyReceipts.com card. If you do not already have a MyReceipts.com account, you can go to www.myreceipts.com to create a new account using your Member ID and/or the phone number you provided at the store. Once you are registered, you will be able to access receipts which were originally sent using any of the linked accounts you provided (Member ID, phone number, loyalty/membership card number, etc...).
Question: Do I need to register before I can ask for a Digital Receipt at the store?
Answer:
No. You do not need to have a registered MyReceipts.com account before receiving a Digital Receipt at the store. You will just need to make sure that you have a MyReceipts.com card that is associated with the transaction or that you provided a valid phone number or email address. In order to view and access your receipts, you will need to create an account on MyReceipts.com. Once registered, make sure you link all of your phone numbers, email addresses and loyalty/membership card numbers with your account in order to receive receipts associated with your personal identifiers.
Question: What information do I need to provide at the store to receive a Digital Receipt?
Answer:
A Digital Receipt may be associated with a MyReceipts.com card number (Member ID), phone number, email address and/or loyalty/membership card number. Depending on the store and the types of identifications they support, you will have the option to use one or more identifiers. If you do not want to provide your personal information, you may ask the clerk for a MyReceipts.com card. Make sure you associate your MyReceipts.com card with a valid MyReceipts.com account.
Question: How will I know if the Digital Receipt was properly received on MyReceipts.com?
Answer:
If you have a MyReceipts.com account, you will receive an email notification each time a new receipt is associated with your account. You may also select to receive notifications by SMS (text) message as well. When you login to your account, you can select how often and what type of notifications you would like to receive.
Question: How safe is my information?
Answer:
Protecting your privacy is the most important thing to us. We are constantly working to make sure that all of your information is fully secured. We do not share any of your personal information with any third party unless you explicitely provide us with the authorization to do so. Make sure you read our Privacy Policy for more information.
Question: What is my Member ID?
Answer:
Your Member ID is a unique number which is printed on the back of your MyReceipts.com card or provided to you when you register on MyReceipts.com. Your Member ID allows you to identify yourself in order to receive a Digital Receipt without having to share any of your personal information with the store.
Question: What if I did not receive my Verification Key
Answer:
Please understand that the email containing the Verification Key and confirmation of your registration is automatically sent to the email address that you provide at the time of registration. A NOTE TO AOL USERS: If you have an AOL email address, please go to your Manage Mail tab and check your Spam folder for an email from MyReceipts.com. There are 3 possible reasons why you may not receive your email after your register:
Question: Can I add a receipt manually?
Answer:
Yes. You may add a receipt manually. Please note that manual receipts are handled differently from Digital Receipts which are automatically sent by the store. Automatic receipts are "certified" receipts and can not be modified. Some stores may not accept a manual receipt as a valid proof of purchase as the information can't be verified by the store. Manual receipts can however be included in your reports and you may receive product information which relates to the manual receipt.
Question: Why do I have to accept new receipts before I can view and access them?
Answer:
This is done for security and privacy reasons. This extra step allows you identify any receipts which may relate to purchases you did not make. It is used to detect any potential fraud on your behalf.
Question: Can I download my receipt information to other applications?
Answer:
While this feature is currently not available, you will soon be able to download all of your transactions to third party applications such as Quicken, Quickbooks, MS Money and any other expense management, budgeting and expense reimbursement software. Stay tuned!
Question: Can I link my account with other personal identifiers?
Answer:
Yes. Once you have your MyReceipts.com account, you may link the account with other personal identifiers such as phone numbers, email addresses, loyalty/membership card numbers, etc... This information will be used to identify receipts that match any of your linked identifiers. Your linked accounts give you the flexibility to choose whichever identifier is the most appropriate at the time of purchase at the store.
Question: What if I already have a loyalty card with a given store?
Answer:
Feel free to add the loyalty card number as a linked account and anytime you make a purchase that is associated with the loyalty card, your receipt will be automatically stored in your MyReceipts.com account.
Question: Can I use MyReceipts for returns and exchanges?
Answer:
Please check with the store's return and exchange policies. Certain stores may request that you still print a copy of the Digital Receipt from MyReceipts.com. Others may require that you provide your Digital Receipt card before a return or exchange can be made. Once again, this all depends on the store's policies.
Question: What if I don't see a specific Digital Receipt in my account?
Answer:
There may be several reason why a Digital Receipt is not showing in your account. 1) Make sure to view the "Latest Receipts" tab first and accept the receipts. 2)Make sure that the personal identifier you used at the store who issued the receipt is listed in your Linked Accounts. This includes any Member IDs, phone numbers, loyalty/membership card numbers you may have used. 3) While most receipts will show almost immediately, it may take up to 24 hours for a receipt to show in your account. 4) If your receipt does not show within 24 hours, please contact Customer Support at support@myreceipts.com with details about the transaction (store name, date, amount, member ID, etc..)
Question: How much does it cost to become a member?
Answer:
Nothing. The basic service is free.
Question: Can I share a Digital Receipt with someone else? (eg: Gift Receipt)
Answer:
Yes. You will need to provide the email address. The recipient does not need to have a MyReceipts.com account to view the receipt but will need to have a valid account in order to save the receipt.
Question: Does MyReceipts.com support Digital Receipts from online merchants?
Answer:
Yes. Online merchants may offer you the option of receiving your receipts in your MyReceipts.com account. Participating online merchants will carry the MyReceipts.com logo on their site to show their participation.
Question: Can I change my notification preferences?
Answer:
Yes. You may decide how often and what kind of notifications (receipts, promotions, expiration, recalls, etc..) you would like to receive. You may also specify how you would like to be notified: by email and/or SMS (text) message.
Question: Can I have my receipts automatically organized?
Answer:
While you can manually move/copy receipts into different folders, you may have receipts that meet certain criteria be automatically saved into a given folder. For example, while on a business trip or vacation, you may have all of your receipts received during that period saved in a special folder.
